Observing Inifinity

“To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe.”

Marilyn vos Savant

Yogi Bhajan said in his Summer Solstice lecture in 1976....

“Without awareness, there can be no radiance. And without radiance, you might as well be an animal. An animal gets up from sleep, eats food, has sex, raises children, and does everything else that you do; but an animal has no mind to observe himself in action. That is the difference between an animal and a human being. Hu means light; man means mind. A human being is a being of mental light, a being of mind as well as body. But to experience yourself as a human being, you have to condition your mind to experience Infinity.”

I wake up at 5am in the morning and practice. The rest of the world is quiet, the energy is calm.  I have observed that I can connect to the infinite much better during this time of day. “Sadhana simply means, daily spiritual practice. It is the foundation of all spiritual endeavor. Sadhana is your personal, individual spiritual effort. It is the main tool you use to work on yourself to achieve the purpose of life. It can be done alone or in a group.”

Rather than worshiping God, Yogi Bhajan's teachings encourage students to train their mind to experience God. I pray that you find a deep connection, peace, love and light with the infinite divine today as you observe life whist walking along your path.

“You perceive the world from your perspective. All you will ever see, is how you choose to see things. Imagine, you notice a cockroach in your room and it disgusts you. You are the one with disgust in your system, the insect itself has nothing to do with this. You have chosen to look at it through a lens of dislike. on the opposite, it is possible to take a purely observing position, without reaction and judgment; beyond association and identification. Here, you can experience that everything simply is. There is a tangible stillness and expansion in this position of pure being. As an observer in the revelry, you experience calmness and a sense of connection with everything and everyone around you. the observer knows that everything is awareness, and takes his or her place without any filters or noise. In this space of neutrality, all is welcome. Life is constantly changing, absolutely nothing is permanent and every- thing is connected. Let this card inspire you to observe reality in truth.” — Innercompasscards, Neel van Lierop
